Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) is a supplement that helps your body to absorb calcium. It is used to treat people who suffer with have vitamin D deficiency.

- Vitamin D3 is best absorbed when taken after a meal but may be taken with or without food. Alfacalcidol is usually taken with food.
